Personality: As a younger tom (he is pretty old now), he was freer and more open, a friendly and talkative warrior. He had a mate -- her name was Redshadow -- that he loved dearly. They shared a large amount of affection and had five litters of kits together, a large amount for a Clan cat. The trauma of her death led to the below personality, though.
Cedartuft is a humble and quite tom. He usually does not speak unless spoken to and he tends to keep to himself. Hearing his name called or listening to something that he has done, whether that may be positive or negative, makes his face go hot. When in camp, he will keep his head down and his large structure as close to the ground as he can in an attempt to limit the attention drawn to him. This usually leads to a negative outcome, though, as some will think that he is sad or is begging for attention. There is a reason for his personality, though, but that will be explained later. This tom is much more open and relaxed when he is alone -- especially if he is by the river. He enjoys the soft sound of water trickling over the rocks and the scent of fish in the air. He tends to unleash his inner kit when no cat is around. He has always feared that his secret kit-like nature will be discovered, though, and it has haunted him for a long time. He believes that one who sees this kit side of him will believe that it is immature and should have been left behind him after he earned his warrior name.
Regarding romance, he has a pretty big heart. His suspicions lead him to think that a lot of cats have a crush on him, which leads to long thoughts about which she should be his mate.
History: Born in a litter of three as the middle kit and only tom, Cedarkit had a rather average kithood. The three siblings accidentally broke the rules a few times and fought with each other. Cedarkit's mother had a bright and bubbly personality, and Cedarkit loved her dearly. He didn't know his father though, for he was a loner and the Clan had forbid that they meet him.
After the three had become apprentices, they drifted apart a noticeable amount. Cedarpaw's two sisters decided to hunt and train and do everything together while leaving their brother out of it. This made Cedarpaw sad, of course, for he had grown up with them and cared for them. Eventually, the apprentice decided to work hard with his training and work to earning his warrior name earlier than his sisters. His goal was accomplished, and his name was earned a considerable amount of time before theirs.
Cedartuft's warrior life is where the drama kicks in. A loner had joined the Clan only a few days after he had earned his warrior name, and he later learned that the two were almost the same age. She was beautiful in his eyes, her silky ginger fur and bright golden eyes. Cedartuft, being too shy to ask for her name, simply ended up calling her "Beauty," which confused his sisters when he told them about her. Luckily, his sisters had met the she previously and knew her as Redshadow.
Soon, Cedartuft got the nerve to talk to Redshadow. The two talked about their pasts and their futures, they went on patrols together, they ate together. Others could see their love slowly growing. Cedar and Red became mates only a few moons after their meeting, and they were the best of lovers. Their first litter came quickly, followed by the second, third, fourth, and fifth. They loved each of their kits dearly, and only two of them ended up dying. Redshadow admitted to Cedartuft that she was more of a permanent queen than a warrior.
By the time the two lovers were old -- in the 80-moon-range, Redshadow had her last litter. It was a tiny litter of one kitten that killed her, but the kit survived. Cedartuft spiraled into a depression and became quiet and reserved, not to mention overprotective over the kit. That's how it's been since then, and what's expected in the future.
