History:
Fisherkit was born the youngest in a litter of three, to the ThunderClan she-cat Brambleberry, and her secret RiverClan lover Mossbelly. His brother Crowkit was premature, and died after two weeks, so Fisherkit barely remembered him.
When Fisherpaw was made an apprentice, he stuck out among the cats as one of very few ThunderClanners with a love of fish - when the river burst over its bounds and fish became easy prey, the young tom soon taught himself a way of snatching them up. His mother, after facing accusations about whether her kits were full-blooded ThunderClan, advised her son to fish only in secret, when he wouldn't be caught.
The same season, his sister Mistpaw drowned off Sunningrocks, when the rock she stood on gave way due to the current and sent her to her death in the fast-flowing river. Brambleberry was near inconsolable, now having lost two of her three kits - these losses led to a conflict between her and Mossbelly the rare times the two Clan-crossed lovers met.
Fisherclaw made warrior no stress, marking himself as a strict, heavy-set tom who, if he struck you, had a pretty good chance of leaving you lying on the ground, knocked senseless. He was quite the force on the battlefield.
A year later his mother and father broke up, when it was discovered Mossbelly had fathered a set of kits in RverClan unbeknownst to Brambleberry. Fisherclaw only ever exchanged a pawful more words with his father in his life. In return, Fisherclaw had just found love, having been confessed to by the young warrior Bluefeather. Instead of refusing her, the tom took this chance and told her he'd try to fall in love with her - which he did.
At age three he was given Falconpaw for an apprentice; the young tom had just lost his father, so Fisherclaw took him under his wing, and their mentor-apprentice relationship was among the closest the Clan had seen.
So close that when Fisherclaw's kits were born to Bluefeather, his mate, he asked Falconflight to mentor his daughter Dawnpaw. He was proud of both his kits, but sadly his son, Lionpaw, seemed a bit too focused on violence, and was encouraged to do so by his mother - and Fisherclaw endorsed no such ability, instead praising temperance and self-control. Even so, Fisherclaw didn't have much time to teach his kits, because shortly after their apprenticeship he was promoted to deputy under young Wolfstar.
Years later, Fisherclaw retired due to having developed arthritis, especially in his hips, that didn't allow for much movement and made him understand he was unable to continue his deputy duties. He hoped Wolfstar would pick a sensible cat to succeed him, and was sorely disappointed when the choice fell on Fisherclaw's son, Lionpelt, who was seen as a hothead. Lionpelt also made leader some time later, after the war with ShadowClan - the same war that claimed his mate, Bluefeather.
Seasons later, Fisherclaw became a grandfather for the first time, when his daughter Dawnblossom bore two kits, Rumblekit and Daisykit. But only two moons later saw disaster fall on his family, when Dawnblossom, who'd insisted on attending a patrol, was killed in a border skirmish that had been provoked by ThunderClan. In the arguments that followed, his old apprentice and son-in-law Falconflight left the Clan in protest, effectively rendering his grandkits completely orphaned.
Now, Fisherclaw passes his days healthily in the elders' den, keeping an observant eye on the Clan and his grandkits especially, hoping for a wind of change to come sweeping through sooner or later.
