Personality:
Jumpfire takes her warrior duties very seriously. She may come across as having her nose in the higher up's tails, but she is only trying to prove herself as a loyal, efficient warrior of the Clan.History:
She's one of the few MoonClan cats whose heritage can be traced back into the first generation of MoonClanners. Her ancestors were some of the founding members, and because of it, she always feels like she has something to prove. Because of it, she goes out of her way to try and mentor new members of the Clan and teach them the ways, which can be obnoxious at times as she always butts in with Clan facts and techniques.
As she follows the warrior code quite religiously, she may come across as a stick-in-the-mud. She is always finding ways to busy herself -- you're unlikely to find her giving herself a break at any time of any day. She is one of the first cats up and one of the last to sleep.
Jumpkit was wriggling the moment she landed on her mother's mossy bed inside the MoonClan nursery. It was as if she was trying to make a good impression immediately after birth, as she mewled and pushed herself upwards with her tiny forepaws in an action that could be interpreted as a tiny leap. Her mother was amused by her flopping kit, and named her after the little stunt.Heritage:
She was a very inquisitive and competitive kit, obsessed with order and organisation (and winning). She always had an ear for her grandfather's tales, and especially loved hearing of his time as a young and healthy warrior. It was from him that she learned of her family's long history in MoonClan, and she was always very proud of it. There isn't one cat in the Clan who doesn't know about her lineage, be it from Tanglefur or Jump.
When she began her apprentice training, she truly became a busybody. She was constantly pestering her mentor about patrols, exploring, and other kinds of expeditions. He got so tired of her so often, he'd send her around the border of camp just looking for moss, leading MoonClan to actually have an over abundance. When the medicine cat was short on supplies, he'd always recommend to Jumppaw, because there was no chance she would let herself come back empty-pawed.
As an apprentice, she couldn't stand how laid-back her brother was. He wasn't necessarily "lazy", but he wasn't active enough in the Clan life to satiate Jumppaw's own needs to impress others. She never fought with him about it though, only pestered and encouraged him. When it came to any other cat picking on him, Jumppaw was immediately there to defend him, whether he liked it or not.
Through her efforts, Jumppaw graduated from her apprenticeship a moon earlier than usual. She was given the suffix "fire", for the blazing ginger that accompanied her black pelt, as well as how relentless she was and how she could never be put out.
The only time in her life that she's ever been off beat was when her grandfather passed away. He'd caught a cough one leaf-bare and his old bones were unable to shake it. The external mourning didn't last long, however, and she soon began to distract herself through her constant working. She misses him to this day, and speaks fondly of him, though she has since calmed down for the most part in her constant enthusiasm.
